[Scratchbox-users] writing inittab

Hi All, Scratchbox has a basic inittab file that doesn't boot without a console device specified. I made it work by copying one of my old inittab files but I hate to say when it comes to this file, I know little about what I'm doing.

Could someone tell me where I can find info on putting together an inittab and rc file. The man pages doesn't go a good job on putting this thing together. I'm not looking for runlevel stuff as this will have one rc file being an embedded platform.
Suggestions are also welcome.
