[Scratchbox-users] Scratchbox as a pure cross-compiler (x86) ?

Provided that your scratchbox is installed in /scratchbox (or you have 
symlink there), you should be able to use the scratchbox compilers from 
outside scratchbox (for example, to compile the kernel) as well [1].

Depending on your package you might have to specify CC in your 
environment or specify the compiler using some switch in configure...
